Income and expenditure

The Consolidated Statement of Financial Activities shows a deficit of £513,813 for the year compared to a surplus of £1,052,817 in 2003/04. Much of last year’s surplus was generated by one-off events. This put us in a position to fund new developments and plan a deficit budget for this year.

In future these projects financed by restricted funds will become core activities. A key example is the teenage cancer website. Financed initially by ICAP, this project will require core resources to sustain it.

We aim to build sustainable sources of income to maintain our high standards of service and fund future developments.
