Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia is an illness which you can live with for a long time. It progresses very slowly. If treatment is needed, it is usually very effective and can keep the leukaemia under control for many years.
You will need to have regular check-ups and blood tests. If you have any problems or notice any new symptoms in between these times which do not go away in a couple of weeks, let your doctor know as soon as possible.
