Ball-tastic ideas!

Getting sponsored

Photograph of a womens football team

There is potential to be sponsored for all sorts of ball activities.

  • How many golf balls you can put
  • How many penalties you can score in a day
  • Sponsored keepy uppys
  • Sponsored 1 mile walk whilst bouncing/dribbling a ball

Organise an event

Organise something all your family, friends and work colleagues could get involved in.

  • Charity football or rugby match or tennis tournament. Organise players and games with a donation to play and then charge an entry fee for people to watch the game.
  • Organise a summer ball with dinner, dancing and a raffle and auction to raise money. Ask local companies to donate prizes to raise extra cash.
  • June is the month for all things tennis as Wimbledon kicks off. Invite your friends and family to watch the tennis with donations for strawberries and cream.
  • Throw a BBQ whilst watching the European football championships and ask people to donate to attend.

At work

Get your colleagues involved in Balls! to male cancer and raise funds and awareness amongst your colleagues.

  • Sporting Sweepstake – Choose one of the many ball sporting events this June like the European football or Wimbledon and do an office sweepstake of the winner with any donations to Cancerbackup.
  • Quiz – Compile questions on baseball, netball, rugby, golf and football, to name a few, organise a pub quiz or email the questions around and get your colleagues to donate to take part.
