I have bladder cancer and I'm to have chemotherapy put into my bladder as part of my treatment. Will I lose my hair?

I hope you are reassured to know that you shouldn't lose your hair with this treatment.

Chemotherapy given directly into the bladder is called intravesical chemotherapy. Because very little chemotherapy gets into the bloodstream it causes very few side effects outside of the bladder.

You can read more about intravesical chemotherapy for bladder cancer in the bladder cancer section of our website.
