There have been claims that noni juice boosts the immune system, however, the scientific medical evidence for this is very limited. Recently some laboratory studies have suggested it could have an effect against cancer cells, but no proper human trials have been done, so noni juice certainly shouldn’t be used instead of normal treatments.
Some people with cancer who have taken noni juice have said that they think it has helped them cope with the side-effects of treatments like chemotherapy, and has improved their quality of life. But there is little or no evidence to show that noni juice has any effect on the cancer itself.
Noni juice comes from Tahiti and the surrounding countries, and is made from the fruit of the Marinda Citrifolia tree. It is a pure fruit juice and is harmless. If your father would like to try noni juice, then this would probably be quite alright, although it would be a good idea to check with his doctor first.
