I've been taking tamoxifen for 5 years and I'm about to change to Femara. Do I need to leave a gap between the treatments or can I start Femara immediately?

It's fine to start taking your Femara (letrozole) the day after you stop your tamoxifen.

When you have been taking tamoxifen for some months it takes several weeks to clear completely from your body after you stop taking it. However, this will not affect your new treatment with Femara, and will not make the drug any less effective, or make you more likely to get side effects.
