Our booklets are designed to help people affected by cancer understand and remember everything they are told about their cancer and treatment options. Each booklet contains an average of over 60 pages of high-quality information, supported by clear illustrations.
The range of booklets is divided into three groups:
Site-specific cancers
These are booklets about a specific type of cancer (e.g. breast cancer or lung cancer). They explain how the cancer affects that part of the body, and discuss the methods of diagnosis and treatment used for that particular cancer. They also address some of the feelings which are a large part of anyone’s reaction to a cancer diagnosis.
Tests and treatments
These titles cover in detail a variety of testing, screening and treatment types. They help patients know what to expect and to prepare. They are very useful when deciding on the most suitable options available.
Living with cancer
This group of booklets gives advice on a wide variety of practical issues such as eating well, managing your finances and travel, as well as coping with symptoms such as pain or hair loss. They also discuss the emotional effects of cancer.
